1. 24-Hour Cancellation Window

You may cancel any booking within 24 hours of confirmation and receive a full refund of all amounts paid to Scene Travel Booking — no questions asked, no cancellation fees from our side. This applies to all bookings regardless of destination or travel type. Note that some airline tickets have their own 24-hour cancellation rules under DOT regulations, which we will always honor on your behalf.

2. Supplier Cancellations

If an airline, hotel, cruise line, or any other travel supplier cancels your booking for any reason, you are entitled to a full refund of all amounts paid. We will process this refund on your behalf as quickly as the supplier allows — typically within 7–21 business days. We will keep you informed throughout the process and follow up with suppliers on your behalf until the refund is complete.

3. Cancellations After 24 Hours

For cancellations made after the 24-hour window, refund eligibility depends on the specific fare or package rules communicated at the time of booking. Here is what you can always expect from us:

  • We will clearly explain all cancellation terms before you pay — no surprises after the fact.
  • Where a partial refund is available, we will process it promptly and in full.
  • Where a fare is non-refundable, we will explore alternatives such as travel credits, date changes, or name changes on your behalf.
  • Our own service fees are always waived in cases where a cancellation is due to circumstances beyond your control.

4. Medical Emergencies & Extenuating Circumstances

If you need to cancel due to a medical emergency, serious illness, or the death of an immediate family member, contact us immediately. We will advocate strongly with all suppliers on your behalf to secure the best possible refund or travel credit. We will waive any Scene Travel Booking fees in these situations without exception. We recommend keeping documentation (e.g., a doctor's note) as suppliers may require it.

5. Force Majeure (Natural Disasters, Travel Bans, Pandemics)

In the event of a natural disaster, government-issued travel ban, pandemic, or other force majeure event that prevents travel, we will pursue every available avenue to secure a full refund or travel credit on your behalf. We will not charge any fees for cancellations caused by force majeure events. If a supplier refuses to refund, we will escalate the claim and advise you on all available options including credit card chargebacks and travel insurance claims.

6. Our Service Fees

Any service fees charged by Scene Travel Booking are fully refundable in the following situations: cancellation within 24 hours of booking, supplier cancellation, force majeure events, medical emergencies, or any error made on our part. Service fees are non-refundable only when a booking is cancelled by the customer after the 24-hour window for personal reasons unrelated to the above circumstances — and even then, we will consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis.

7. Refund Processing Times

We process refunds as quickly as possible. Typical timelines:

  • Scene Travel Booking service fees: 3–5 business days
  • Hotel refunds: 5–10 business days
  • Airline refunds: 7–21 business days (varies by airline)
  • Cruise & package refunds: 14–30 business days

We will notify you by email or phone when your refund has been initiated and provide a reference number. If you have not received your refund within the stated timeframe, contact us and we will follow up immediately.

8. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance for every trip. A comprehensive policy can cover cancellations, medical emergencies, lost baggage, and travel delays — providing an additional layer of protection beyond our refund policy. Ask your advisor about insurance options when you book.
